October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, which is a national annual campaign to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security.

During this month, the University Information Security Office (UISO) will host events, share information, and be available to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security. Our hope is to provide you with the tools and resources needed to stay safe online, and increase your resiliency and that of Fordham University in the event of a cyber incident.

What to expect…
• Weekly Cyber Security Awareness postcards tips via campus mail, email, and iTV
• Free coffee at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center, where we will be available to discuss cyber security awareness
• Random phishing simulations via email to help reduce your susceptibility
• A refreshed Cyber Security Awareness training via Blackboard
• Daily Cyber Security Awareness via Facebook, Twitter, and the IT Security Blog

* Due to space constraints we are unable to provide coffee and tea at the IT Customer Care Center at Lincoln Center.

In addition, Shannon Ortiz, Director of IT Security for Fordham University, and his team are available for one-on-one and one-to-many sessions with you and your department by request to discuss cyber security topics such as:
