Bb Mailbag: Grading

0

Welcome to the Blackboard Mailbag, where we feature a commonly asked question that has been hitting our mailbox recently: blackboard@fordham.edu. You’ll find an archive of all of the previous questions and answers on our fordham.edu/blackboard website.

Note: Features may change with future updates.

It’s that time of year again!  Looking for help or information about grading?  Look no further!

Instructors can use Gradebook to manage, calculate, and share grades with students.  Students are only able to see their own grades in the Gradebook.  Blackboard can be used during the term to provide a status update to students enrolled in each course, however, it is not the official system of student records, thus, while you can provide a final grade on Blackboard, you also must submit a final grade in Banner by using the Faculty Dashboard by your department’s deadline.

For more information about using the Gradebook please see one of these resources:

Official Grades

Please note that the official final grading will need to be completed in Banner.

A few weeks before the end of the term you’ll receive an email from the Office of Academic Records advising you to enter grades prior to the deadline stated in the Academic Calendar.

To record grades you will need to access the Faculty Dashboard in the Fordham portal.  For instructions please see:  Banner Final Grading Instructions (fordham.edu) or Instructions to Change a Grade (fordham.edu)
