Using multiple Google documents at once is now easier thanks to the preview feature in Docs, Sheets, or Slides. While working in a Google document, you can see a complete preview of any hyperlinked Google document or smart chip. This preview pops up as a floating window on the document that you’re editing, so you can reference the preview while working without the hassle of switching through multiple browser tabs.
To see a preview in a Doc, Sheet, or Slide, click once on a hyperlinked file or smart chip and a small information window of the file will pop up. Hover over this small window, click “Open preview,” and a complete preview of the document will open in a floating window on the screen.
