1. Fordham Mobile Go
Fordham Mobile Go, the University’s new app, helps you stay connected like never before. Gain access to great features that will make your campus experience more efficient and keep you informed. Access email, course schedules, registration, grades, a directory, and other information you normally access via My.Fordham.edu. Also, receive important notifications right to your device. The app is available to download from the Google Play store for Android and from the iTunes store for iPhones.

2. WebEx for Video Meetings
All faculty, students, and staff will soon have access to Cisco’s WebEx, a powerful tool for virtual meetings via video or audio. Use WebEx to hold classes, webinars, and office hours. Also host meetings and interviews, conduct town halls, and more. The platform launches in August. Trainings and user guides will be available. More details here.

3. Microsoft Office for Everyone
Thanks to Fordham University’s agreement with Microsoft, all Fordham faculty, staff, and students will soon be eligible to sign up for their own version of Microsoft Office via Office 365 (does not include Outlook Exchange). Faculty and staff may download 5 copies to their personal computer and supported mobile devices. Students will have access to Microsoft Office Online via the cloud-based version of Office 365. More details coming soon!

4. Online Security Training
Our new UISO online security training course aims to educate Fordham students, faculty, and staff on how to protect themselves from cyber threats and attacks. 5. El Capitan Upgrade
It is now safe to upgrade your University-issued Mac to Apple’s El Capitan operating system (OS). The new OS has been determined to be compatible with all Fordham applications. Read the instructions for preparing your machine for the upgrade.
For those who use PCs, we expect to have an update on the Windows 10 upgrade by mid-July. Moving forward, we promise to authorize upgrades on all operating systems in a shorter time frame.
6. Faculty Software Requests for Fall
Submit your request for the software you’d like installed in the computer labs or smart classrooms for the fall 2016 semester today! Requests may be made for new applications, upgrades, special set ups, reconfiguration and/or additions to existing software. Proof of legal purchase and adequate licenses or copies of the software are required. An ITAC representative will contact you to work on the request.
