Fordham faculty and staff no longer need to go to their campus office to use applications such as Microsoft Office, SPSS, SAS and any other application normally accessed in Fordham University’s virtual environment. To access these applications, login to MyDesktop.fordham.edu at home or anywhere there’s an Internet connection. MyDesktop works with a PC or Mac, and all computer operating systems.

How to start using MyDesktop You’ll need to download Citrix at MyDesktop (https://mydesktop.fordham.edu) in order to start using it. After installing, login to the application with your Fordham AccessIT ID.

Save your work Any changes you make to the virtual environment, including saving files to My Documents or the Desktop, will be automatically redirected to a network drive. As an added precaution, make sure to save your work to your network drive.

Length of a session Keep in mind that you will be automatically logged out after 2 hours of an active session. The screen will lock after 30 minutes of inactivity, but you can unlock it with your AccessIT ID password.

Access from a mobile device MyDesktop can be accessed from a mobile device, but you may incur data charges from your provider if using this service via a cellular network. Check with your provider for details.
