Preparing for Disaster: 2018 Business Continuity Planning

Five years ago, Hurricane Sandy nearly shut down Fordham University for a few days. How prepared is your department for another disaster like that one?

Business continuity planning is a proactive process that ensures critical services and business functions are delivered during a disruption. In 2017, Fordham introduced Recovery Planner (RPX) to create, access, and distribute plans more effectively. RPX replaces CPOtracker; all data housed in that application has been migrated to RRX. Plans are based on a template design to ensure uniformity throughout the community.

Schedule your 2018 departmental business continuity plan (BCP) with Fordham IT’s risk analysts this November and December!

Contact Calvin Graham, IT Risk Analyst, either by email (cgraham14@fordham.edu) or phone (718-817-0703) to discuss your department’s business plan.
