Meet Riley, Fordham IT’s first virtual assistant!

Our new automated chatbot can answer many basic tech support questions, including issues with multi-factor authentication, Zoom, and logging into My.Fordham. You’ll find Riley on the lower right-hand corner of our main homepage, Fordham.edu/IT.

Right now, IT is beta-testing this new support outlet and plans to expand chat support topics based on your questions. Riley looks forward to assisting you, and we appreciate your support as we enhance this resource.

G Suite is now Google Workspace

Last fall, Google rebranded G Suite as Google Workspace. While the core services haven’t changed, there are some nifty new features. Highlights include a simplified integration of Gmail, Docs, Drive and other Google apps you rely on everyday. For example, if a Google Doc or Sheet has a link to another file in Drive, you can hover over the link to preview the linked file. Read more about Google Workspace

Do you use the Zoom for G Suite* add-on?

If you use the Zoom for G Suite add-on, you’ll need to reauthorize its access to your contacts and the Fordham directory. If you do not use the add-on, you may ignore this message.

Zoom has made some upgrades to the add-on that require this reauthorization. You’ll only need to reauthorize one time.
