New Safety and Security Updates for Zoom

Zoom software update available If you have downloaded Zoom to your computer or mobile device, keep it updated to reduce security risks. The latest version, 4.6.11, includes a new security button, an invite button, and removes the Meeting ID from the meeting display. Zoom download center

Security Button Located in the bottom right of your meeting room, use the button to enable the waiting room, lock a meeting, and control attendee permissions.

Meeting password New default setting assigns a password to meetings. About meeting passwords

Waiting room Hosts decide when participants may join a meeting. Set up a waiting room

Recording password By default, all recordings made after the recent update require a password for access. Passwords can be created for recordings that don’t have a password. Create a recording password

Attendee attention tracking Participant attention cannot be tracked during a meeting.

Reminder! Login with your Fordham Zoom account at fordham.zoom.us. On the sign-in page, login to Google with your Fordham credentials.
