Prepare your laptop before you get to campus to avoid any potential issues when joining the new network for the first time. Here’s what you should do:
Check to see if you have antivirus software installed. If not, it is recommended that you download BitDefender antivirus. It is free for all Fordham University faculty, staff, and students.
In the coming weeks, we’ll post more information about the network here at Fordham IT News and on our webpage, Access the WiFi Network.
By the way, we also recommend that you register at least two devices for multi-factor authentication (MFA), in case your preferred device is not available (battery depleted, device forgotten at home, etc.). If you’re unable to authenticate, you may not gain access to Fordham’s systems, which could impact your school and office work.
