Generative AI Office Hours

Please join us for a hands-on session exploring Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) and its potential applications. In this office-hour style session, our IT staff will introduce you to Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini, showing you how to access them and the basics of creating prompts (i.e., instructions) to generate desired outputs.
During the session, we’ll offer:
- An overview of Gen AI and its capabilities
- Hands-on exploration of Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini, specifically
- Best practices for creating prompts that achieve desired AI-generated results
- Understanding and mitigating AI hallucinations (i.e., inaccurate or nonsensical outputs)
- Open Q&A and discussion on AI’s role in higher education
