Essential Mobile Resources for All Fordham Students

0

Many of Fordham’s essential resources can be easily accessed on the go using just your smartphone! If you’re tired of having to go to your computer to utilize your full range of college services, check out the following mobile Fordham services that you can enjoy anytime and anywhere you want.

Multi-Factor Authentication

One of the easiest ways to secure your online accounts is by using Duo Mobile Security, a Multi-Factor Authentication mobile app. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides your online accounts with an additional layer of security by requiring you to verify your identity via callbacks, in-app verification, or customizable passcodes.

The Duo Mobile app for your smartphone is an easy way to provide MFA when asked, and can even be used for non-Fordham services to increase security as well. Rams with questions about setting up Multi-Factor Authentication can contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.

Electronic ID

A Fordham ID is one of the most important resources for all Rams. By opting for an Electronic ID, students will never have to worry about leaving their ID’s behind! Your Fordham ID gives you access to using meal swipes, checking out library materials, and verifying your identity to get into campus buildings, and can create huge inconveniences if misplaced.

Because the Electronic ID is an entirely digital system, ID’s are functional within 20 minutes after activation. Since a Student ID is on the top of the list of essentials to always carry with you, having it stored in your phone ensures that your identity is never lost or stolen! Rams can enable Electronic ID through the University app, Fordham Mobile Go.

Pharos Print

Fordham uses the Pharos print management solution, which allows users to print conveniently from their phones. Rams can download the Pharos Print app and log in with their credentials to access the service; printers are available across residence halls and the library. With the Pharos app, users can upload specific documents conveniently via their phones, and also send out instructions to print through the same app.

To create an account, students must go to the Pharos portal through fordham.edu > My Apps > Utilities & Tools > Pharos Pay for Print. Printing options are also available through Fordham libraries, email at remoteprint@fordham.edu, through the Pharos Remote Print website, and the “Pharos Print” app.

Blackboard Mobile

Blackboard is Fordham’s course management system, and can be accessed from any computer or mobile device. Students can download the Blackboard Learn app to have easy access to all their study materials and class information right from their phones. Through the app, all members of a certain course can interact with online discussions, projects, announcements, content files, and much more.
