Coming early 2017: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Many universities around the country have implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA), and soon Fordham University will no longer be an exception. MFA requires an additional simple step of validating yourself via an application on your phone when logging into Fordham systems. Read more.

Benefits of a Virtual Desktop Computer If you’ve used a computer in the library or a classroom lately, you’ve probably encountered one of the new virtual desktops (also known as a thin client). They’re easy to use and give you instant access to the applications and files you normally have access to on your office desktop, even when you’re at home or on a trip. Read more. is FREE from the New York Public Library Fordham students, faculty and staff all have free access to, which is available through the New York Public Library! Microsoft Office: FREE Download and Cloud Access Fordham faculty, staff and students may download up to 5 copies of Microsoft Office to a personal device. This includes tablets and smartphones. Read more.

MS Office 2016 for University Computers Over the next few months, MS Office 2016 will be installed on University-owned desktops. If you would like a copy installed right now, contact IT Customer Care.

Scheduled Maintenance Fordham’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) will be upgraded on Thursday, December 8, from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. The service will be available during the upgrade, but you may experience intermittent interruptions when logging in or while using the VPN. See the IT Calendar.
